3/52 O&G Posting

today is the 5th day i get posted to this hospital....
totally different experience compare to PPUKM~

they're practicing different style of managing patients,
they diagnosed & manage patients by limited tools & investigations
compare to our own hospital~
first time i saw how bad they scolded the HO, after almost 3years i learnt in the wards/clinic/OT...
stress when they expect us to have good practical skills when we told them we're from UKM...

but then, actually..
i'm a bit disappointed after 5days i get posted here,
didn't get the chance to conduct delivery is somethings really bad for me,
they even have to think for a few minutes before allowed us to do VE, branulla insertion, etc...
they always scolded HO did not know how to do this, how to do that,
but then if they did not give us a chance to do it when we're still medical students,
then how can them expect us to perform well when we're HO???
do they think before they scolded people???

the most suffereing issue is,
now is still not the end,
i still have to work under this condition for next week,
so sienzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........
now i really become a medical student that will only study, study, study,
with no practical skills liao.....

O&G Posting 2/52

O&G week2....

wake up at 6 stg then appear myself in the ward at around 7am,

check for new cases, cover beds, 

tutorials, workshops, clinic sessions, ultrasound session, OT, wardrounds, teaching sessions,  

oncall ward, oncall labour room, oncall PAC (kind of emergency unit for O&G), 

almost every night, i'm either oncall, or appear myself in the ward to check for new cases, 

my sleeping duration reduced from 7-8hours to 4-5hours.....

exhausted.....

after oncall in PAC until midnight this morning, 

i had period of "loss of consciousness" , 

i didn't noticed that my alarm was ringing, 

i didn't realized that "fantastic baby" was played again & again every 9mins until my phone also "exhausted"~ 

and i missed the sunrise this morning, 

hmmm, but then don't worry, i'm super duper happy with it~ 

haha~

now i'm packing, 

tomorrow will depart to Hospital Teluk Intan & continue my O&G posting there for 2/52 ( 2weeks), 

finally can relax a bit.. i guess??? 

i'm glad that we can get the chance to post to other general hospital to learn the protocol that KKM practice in managing patients, compare to PPUKM practice~
i'm looking forward for it~

that's all, hopefully i can online there with my yes broadband~

i already have 10books for O&G (only 6books displayed...), now they want us to buy another new books for O&G again? OMG~  

3rd day..

3rd day in O&G posting,
i'm tired, stressed, & depressed.......

New Journey

Just came back from BTN+PPD camp @ Kem Bina Negara Ulu Sepri~
indeed a very interesting camp, after i had join 2 PPD camps in 1st year & 3rd year, (PPD: Personal &Professional Development, a special module in UKM~ )
i think i really enjoy this camp so much,
and i think all of us really learnt a lot from this camp,
not only the medical knowledge,
but also regarding our future life as a house officer,
the medicolegal issues, the financial planning, the documentations, etc.
i really love the session with the Alumni HO,
these seniors that had successfully gone through the housemanship and now work as Medical Officer really give a lot of good advises to us,
about our future life as house officer, the shift system, and further study planning,
it's a really a very good BTN & PPD camp,
i really had a lot of fun there,
credits to the BTN jurulatih, PPD committees, facilitators ( decided to live together with us in that ulu place,  when they can enjoy their life & doing their wardrounds in KL is never an easy decision~ ya, i must agree with my super yeng Prof Razif, "why are them still there?")
suddenly i love UKM so so so so much, so proud to be Mahasiswa UKM~
is it because i just came back from BTN camp that teach us to love our country?

Now,
the BTN+PPD camp's over.
the new journey is going to start,
my clinical posting finally gonna start after 7weeks of SSM posting + 1weeks camping,
"Misi Jubah Merah" will starts with O&G posting,
and this time i get GREEN WARD,
and i'm quite happy with it,
this is the last 7weeks that i can fully concentrate on O&G,
to work hard & make a huge difference before we go for Professional Exam in April, 2013~
it's a new journey,
and hopefully in 280++ days (BBA blog keep count down for us, LOL),
we will do a very good job in professional exam,
and in year 2015,
we will come back as Alumni UKM to share our experience to the juniors....
